About Barbo Palace

Our apartments are located in the heart of Ljubljana´s cultural and historical centre and within a five minute walk to the major tourist attractions that the city has to offer. Its prime location and wonderful furnishings make it the perfect place to stay for either a family or a business trip. They are comfortable, bright, clean, fully furnished apartments with an equipped kitchenette, free WI-FI and with all linens and towels included.

The Barbo Palace Apartments reside in the Barbo Palace, built and designed by architect Matija Persky in 1755 for Count Jost Vajkard von Barbo. Its unique Baroque façade and interior courtyard, along with the only double staircase in Ljubljana, make it one of the most intriguing historical buildings in Ljubljana. Its history is just as colorful, having passed ownership through many of Ljubljana’s prominent families. Its walls have many a story to tell. The current owner recently decided to convert this historic palace into a boutique hotel, thus making its splendid views available to all its guests.
